Wicked Music

Oh wow. The music from Wicked is AMAZING!!! haha. I really am like addicted to it! The first time i heard some of the songs, i really wasn't a big fan. But now... oh gosh. I am a huge fan! Each song has meaning to the play and helps to develop the characters. Some of them are so funny too! Like "Popular" or "What is this Feeling?", but still there are some that are more serious and thoughtful like "I'm not that Girl" or "For Good." "For Good" is one of my favorite songs ever! The meaning is so strong and in my opinion, one of the best songs from a musical EVER!!!

So if you get the chance, this is a great soundtrack!!! Wicked is a wonderful musical, with a great moral, and wonderful storyline. Surprises come with almost every scene, and I loved the suspense.

Hahahah. Okay. Now i'm just rambling. But if you just happen to be looking for good music, give this a try. You'll like it better if you see the musical :) haha. Then it makes more sense. lol. But the music is still absolutly amazing!

Little Chipmunks.

So, I've gotten over my little Harry Potter thing. We borrowed the 5th book from my cousins, so my sister and momma can read it now...
I ordered some stuff from Hollister about 5 days ago, so it should come sometime this week. I hope i like the stuff that i got! And if i didn't I guess I will just have to return it. Or keep it. I hate returning things that you bought online because you don't get shipping back...
Just a minute ago a little chipmunk ran through our back yard. My dog went phycho!I had to pick her up and carry her into the house so she wouldn't kill the little guy. He was so cute and tiny. It's random cause we don't live too near to mountains or anything where chipmunks would be.
One day when i was searching dance videos on youtube i stumbled across videos from Applause Dance Studio. They are brilliant! I love their dances. Here is a dance from them that moved me to tears. It's so good and touching:

So, before my days as a sytycd obsessed (well, obsessed might make me sound crazy, but i do love it!), and even before i knew what Hollister was, i was absolutely obsessed with Harry Potter and even more the actress who played Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson. Kelsee and I both were. lol. We had these folders full of Emma Watson pictures, and quotes, and interviews, and everything you could imagine! That's just an interesting little fact i thought I'd share while I am on the subject of Harry Potter :D

Last year, as pretty much everyone on the face of the earth knows the final HP book came out. The same day i was at the gym with a personal trainer who was killing me! lol. Anyway, after i was released from the gym my mom took me and my sister to Wal-Mart to purchase the book. We weren't going to have to fight over it, like we did when Eclipse first came out and we only had one copy, because i was the only on in my family who's read past the fourth book. The following day i couldn't move! When i attempted to sit up in my bed i couldn't! My abs hurt SO bad because i had been forced to do so many exercises, so i tried to pull myself up by grabbing onto my sheets and hoisting myself up (which killed my very sore arms!) and then i tried to lift my legs out of bed, but it was literally impossible! I grabbed my legs with my arms and had to move them both and then grab onto my bed's headboard to stand up. I have never been this sore in my entire life! Even after tough conditioning at dance! I think it took me a half hour to get out bed. So the entire day i spent in bed reading the 7th Harry Potter book. I finished it that day.

Where exactly am i going with this? Well, being a year later and deciding that I've run out of all good books in the world and decided to re-read the 6th and 7th Harry Potter books. I would've re-read the 5th, but our neighbors have abducted it and they are now packing everything up because they are moving and so i gave up on them ever returning it. Maybe it is just me, but when i start a book i always think it will never end. Sometimes in a good way. More like, I don't want it to end. Same goes for these. Of course, i knew how it ended, but as i got to reading them again i realized i didn't remember anything! I had to text Kelsee and ask her if Fred or George dies in the book...I was hoping that i had not remembered that particular part correctly. So within days i finished the 6th book. had Dumbledore really died? Yeah, i remembered that too from my previous reading of the Deathly Hallows. I thought since the books every now and then remind me of The Lord of the Rings (another former "obsession") that like Gandalf, Dumbledore would return. Anyway...

As i read quickly through the 7th I had pretty much forgotten every detail. I finished it about 2 hours ago, and i once again refused that it was finished. How could it be finished? Tears rolled down my cheek. That whole chapter "kings cross" or whatever it's called where Harry talks to Dumbledore made me cry. It hadn't before. Especially when Harry says something along the lines of "Is this real, or has it all just been happening inside my head" and Dumbledore replies with "of course it has been happening inside your head, but why should that mean it's not real?" That kind of stuff has always fascinated me. It's like the movie "The Dust Factory". I doubt very many people have seen it, but it's like what takes place when you're unconscious and stuff...And i cried like crazy when after everything happens Dumbledore goes with Hermione and Ron up to Dumbledore's office and sees Dumbledore crying in the picture. And of course the Chapter, 19 years later was sobbing. It doesn't really answer all the questions i had of course. How could it be over? Just like that? It's like LOTR though. "how could the world go back to normal when so much bad had happened?" It's crazy how much those 2 books are similar. I admire JK Rowling being able to write such a story, she had to have had it all planned out was was going to happened from the 1st book. It's brilliant. I wish i could someday write a book so complex one day.

I was planning on rereading the Twilight series again after HP since the next book in coming out in august. But instead i think i might go back and read all the Harry Potter books. Though it might test my patience since I have seen the 1sy & 2nd movies so much. So i might just go and buy the 5th book and start over from there and then get onto Twilight.

An email i sent a while ago about Alli Holker :D

This was an email that I sent to all of my friends about 1-2 weeks ago before Kelsee and I had set up this blog. I thought i would post it on here though as well because it shows my love for Allison Holker, kinda. lol. And when i feel up to it, something to look forward to, which took me a long time, is my list of the best dancers of season 2 and 3. It was also something i sent around in an email.


"Hey my peoples :D So every now again i get really mad. Stupid people on youtube! So i was watching Alli and Ivan top 8 (week alli got voted off) and some one asks "How old was she?" and someone else says something like "She was 17 during the show, one year younger than the required age." People are ditzel heads! That is illegal to do that! People are obviously going to find out, and you can't lie about your age on national tv and such. And nor did they "let her on because she was good". Pshh. Lauren is a good example of being too young to audition even though she was fabulous which is why she had to wait and ended up behind the scenes of season 2. and then someone says "you know she was just voted off because of her age, not on talent". Uhm. yeahhhh. You peoples just keep thinkin' that!

and just to assume things ARE cleaned up and no one goes around thinking Alli was 17 on the show, younger than the required age i am here to sort things out! lol. Alli auditioned for sytycd when she was 17 *gasp* which i guess is ok or something....I think there is a deadline that must be met, obviously (which prevented both Lauren and Jaimie from auditioning if they were planning on it......how old is Shauna? lol *ponders*) Lauren's birthday is June 6th i think? maybe that is Dusty's? But i promise that Lauren's is in June sometime and Jaimie's is on April 26th....So let's pretend that in order to Audition for SYTYCD you had/have to be 18 by March 1st :D So Alli barely made it! She was a senior in High School. That means when she auditioned she missed school *gasp again*. Also another controversy, was whether she should graduate or not because she missed so much school. She did graduate high school, just didn't get to go to the ceremony. So when the show started she was indeed the YOUNGEST on the show....still possibly EVER! But nevertheless she was 18 and was legally and eligible to take part on the show. No worries people! She wasn't voted off because of her age! ha that blows my mind that that person said that.... hold on here. let's....whats the word? scrutinize....does that work? not the word i was thinking of...but i think it could apply.... After going through how many weeks? 6 weeks of the competition America suddenly discovers "she's too young and doesn't deserve to win" lol. Yeahhhhummmm. OR option #2 would be that the judges suddenly decided that she was too young...and barely realized this and so America's voice no longer matters and they are going to eliminate her. Yep people :D thats what happened. Not really. lol."

Well. Thats all of my email. I hope i got that right so no one gets mad at me, but i think i did...

Goodbye to Chris and Chelsea on SYTYCD.

Everyone who likes SYTYCD hates Thursdays. At least i do, and all the dancers on the show. After voting for like 2 hours with five phones, my sister and I put them down when the lines closed at 11pm on Wednesdays. Now all we could do was wait...

We had been voting for Thayne, who had once been a teacher at Jenna's dance studio before dancing with Odyssey, I believe (i might have some of my facts wrong though, so don't kill me if I'm wrong). Jenna had taken some classes last year from him during the summer camp and she loved it. So automatically we had him and Chelsie H. as early favorites.

Back to last night though. The dancers in the bottom three had all been there before (which i think is sad because some of them did well!). The couples in the bottom consisted of: Matt and Kourtni, Thayne and Chelsea, and Chris and comfort. All of the cutest little guys on the show. Chelsea's solo was first. I liked it. Definitely not anything special though... I don't think the repeated fan kicks and repeated stags and double stag leaps suited the song though really. Maybe if the song had repeated words in it, than i could understand...After Chelsea stepped off the stage it was Thayne's turn. As usual i feel he did a respectable job. Which could indeed be the problem with him! During the show I haven't seen him do anything that blew me away other than his audition solo and his top 20 dance. Time for Miss Comfort's solo. Eh. That's really all i must say to that. Her solo was ehhh. I have seen hip hop solos that are much better than that...Chris. Eh to his solo as well. It was a bit of a mess actually. That pirouette he did was odd. His shoulders were up and his arms were bent. If it was supposed to be like that he should've made it more distinct because what he did confused me. Kourtni's solo was ok. I think she is a much better solo dancer definitely. When i was watching her i was thinking it would suck if she got pared with Thayne who is like 5 inches shorter than her. It wouldn't be fair at all! Her solo was purty darn good though. I like the song quite a bit! Matt's solo was AMAZING! So good! I really think that saved him! The judges come back to their seats, which means that they've made their decision. Chelsea is the first to step forward and Nigel, very bluntly tells her she's eliminated tonight. Comfort and Kourtni are safe....
It was funny, I went with my mom to this jewelry party thing and so Jenna and Kelsee were texting me who was in the bottom 3 and stuff. And so we were going to get in the car to drive home when i spotted SYTYCD playing on someones tv. and so i stood in the road for about 3 minutes watching their tv to see who got eliminated.
Anyway, Nigel tells Matt he's sorry for always picking on him, but his solo was wonderful and he was safe. Thayne and Chris are left together, both looking like they're going to burst into tears any minute now. Thayne is safe and Chris is eliminated. I knew i was going to be sad no matter what happened because they were all good and so cute! So now Thayne is partnered with Comfort. I hope they do well, and Comfort doesn't bring Thayne down.

So goodbye to Chelsea and Chris. They made it to the top 16! Best of luck in all they do!

Fat Cats.

hellooo there, i'm jenna.
i'm here to tell you about how my dog is becoming a fatty. Her name is parkzee and she's a shitzu. She used to be a cute, little, and nice dog, but then the stillson's (our neighbors) attacked her with their slippers. Now she bites everyone she sees. Awhile ago she was the hugest fatso ever. I couldn't even pick her up, it was insane. Then she got sick and wouldn't eat for a few weeks, so she got way skinny. For a bit she was skinny, but now she is gaining weight again! She is a fat dog, a very fat dog. Its hilarious. I think she is going to die pretty soon, which is extremely sad.
Fat cats are cute...
i want to raise fat cats for a living.

So You Think You Can Dance Season 4 Top 16

So yesterday on FOX was SYTYCD! So just in case you missed it, well that's why I'm here!

Chelsie and Mark did a hip hop routine choreographed by Napoleon and Tabitha. Ever since Shane Sparks left the show for ABDC (America's Best Dance Crew) i didn't think there was ever going to be a decent hip hop routine on the show! This definitely proved me wrong! It was definitely one of the best dances of the night! Chelsie and Mark did an outstanding job since hip hop isn't their specialty! They are for sure on of my favorite couples of the season!

Comfort and Chris did an African Jazz dance choreographed by Tyce Diorio (sorry if i spelled his name wrong). I have to say i love Comfort and Chris! I love Comfort because of her personality ("Nigel I'm wearing Bra and Beads..."), and i love Chris because he looks a little like Stephen Colletti from Laguna Beach and he is a wonderful dancer! However, they seem to be having a tough time on the show! I think the danced this dance well for what they were given. I hated the music and didn't think it suited the style or the choreography. I was kinda disappointed in Tyce... I think they'll be in bottom 3...

Thayne and Chelsea did a Quick Step choreographed by Heather Smith. Ok, I feel so bad for Thayne and Chelsea, they keep getting stuck with bad dance choreography and bad styles! I do think they did the quick step better than Musa and Natalie from season 2! And unless I'm mistaken, didn't Travis and Donyelle do a Quick Step as well? Thayne and Chelsea's was better than that too. I quite enjoyed the routine, though i didn't think it looked that difficult and "quick" compared to Lacey and Kameron's...I think Thayne and Chelsea will, unfortunately be in the bottom again :( Hopefully their personalities will help them.

Will and Jessica did a Disco by Doriana Sanchez. It was respectable. I think there have been some better disco's on the show... I really like Will though, but i think he might get too much praise from the judges which can get a tad annoying after a while! I think he will no doubt make it into the top 4. Anyway, to the dance. After just watching it again, i think i liked it more. I'm not sure about the white costumes though. When i think of disco i think of bright colors! I don't think they need to be getting their solos ready!

Kherington and Twitch did a hip hop routine by Napoleon and Tabitha. Eh. Didn't like it too much. I think i might prefer Shane Sparks just because i don't always like themed dances, which Tabitha and Napoleon do a lot! Uhm. Also, some ugly costumes....Don't like them, but i understand them because of the prison themed dance! I think Kherington did well since this wasn't her style. I really agree with the judges that she brought herself up two levels! If it was up to me, they would be in the bottom, but i wouldn't send them home. I think there should've been a little more energy and just been like WOWZA!

Katie and Joshua did a Samba choreographed by Tony Meridith (sorry about spelling). Ok ok. It was SO much better than Jaimie and Hok's samba (i LOVE Jaimie and Hok though!). It was so good! Katie and Joshua are my mom's favorite couple by far! I really like them and so far they have been able to do a fantastic job at every dance style that they have been given! Both of them do a great job, and neither one is carrying the other. The samba was sexy and very entertaining! I think they deserve to be safe and continue for sure into the top ten! Chelsea and Mark and Katie and Joshua are definitely the couple to beat in this season's competition! Both couples seem invincible!
So sorry, but i can't find their dance on youtube. I will post the link though as soon as the dance is posted on youtube!

Matt and Kourtni did a very interesting contemporary routine choreographed by a new choreographer named Sonya Tayeh (with some very interesting hair!). I don't know, it's probably just me, but I really don't think i would call this dance contemporary. It seems a little more on the jazz side to me! I did enjoy it after i decided i wasn't going to let the fact they called it contemporary bother me. It was danced well and i enjoyed the choreography! They did well! Some incredible technique in that routine as well! dang it, just forgot was i was going to say! oh! For once, i think this did them some justice! It didn't look at all awkward to me! And about Matt falling last week during their dance, i didn't notice and he covered it SO well by hitting a pose! There have only been 2 other dancers on the show that made mistakes like that and covered it well: Lauren Gottlieb and Alli Holker. So Good Job to Matt!

Gev and Courtney did a rumba by Tony and Melody. Eh. It was good! Not too awkward and not that bad. I did prefer Dominic and Sabra and Dominic and Lauren more though it just seemed a little sexier and believable! Jenna (my sister) said i just didn't like it because of the song, but that's not true! I did like it, i just think there could've been some more passion! That little slide down his leg thing at the beginning i thought was a bit odd....and slightly over dramatic. It kinda makes me laugh a bit. Gev did very well considering that he's never done ballroom in his life before. I think this couple is a bit forgettable though... The dancing, overall was very good though and i enjoyed watching it. It doesn't deserve to be in the bottom, it might be though, but not sure.

Wicked!

Greetings! Sorry I haven't been posting much at all... it's been a bit busy around here! Alright anyway... something really fun happened on Tuesday! My parents and grandma and I went down to LA to see Wicked!

IT WAS AMAZING!!!

I'm not gonna lie. It just blew me away! The actors were incredible, and every minute my eyes and ears were glued to their performances! Okay I'll slow down a little. For those of you who don't know what Wicked is, it's the untold story of the Witches of Oz. AKA, the story behind the Wizard of Oz. How the Wicked Witch became wicked, how Dorothy ended up in Oz, and much, much more! And i'm kinda a musical junkie, so i had been listening to the soundtrack before i saw the show, and quite frankly, I didn't understand much of what they were singing about! But after seeing the show, it all makes sense! Lol. I LOVED the music! Each song brings something new to the story.

There was just the right amount of humor to make it fun, but serious enough that by the end of the play, you felt like you knew the characters. I really felt bad for Elphaba (the Wicked Witch, i.e. the green lady)! But the story was superb how they were able to weave this tale in with the Wizard of Oz! Dang, I haven't watched that show forever! Maybe I'll have to go find it this weekend. :) So if you EVER get the chance to go, don't pass it up, it's AMAZING!

Fun Day :D

Hey peoples. So today was uber exciting! Kinda. lol.

So today, Jenna (my sister) went to lay out on our tramp, and so i finally thought i was going to get a turn on the compter :D So i just get signed into all of my stuff when Jenna runs in the house screaming! Apparently the was a HUGE jumping spider that crawled onto her arm and she looked over and saw it inches away from her face, so she jumps up and shakes her arm and it won't fall off! And so she hurried and brushed it off and if fell onto her towel and she began to spray it with sunscreen and she said it freaked out and crawled under the towel and thats when she ran into tell me. So i hurry upstairs and grab some bug spray and we both put on some shoes and go outside, very carefully making sure there are no spiders ready to jump out at us. Suddenly, and uncalled for, Jenna screams "Brooke, there's a spider on you!" and i freaked out and ran inside. Jenna comes in laughing, there was no spider on me. But anyway, so we go back out side, and achieved nothing....The towel, pillow, and blanket are still sitting outside housing a spider....or multiple ones. So as soon as my mom gets home she has been instructed to shake out everything well before bringing into the house and to inspect thoroughly. And then call the guy who was supposed to spray around our house to prevent spiders.....because it is obviously defective!

And today we left the back door open through all the spiders stuff and like 6 flies flew into our house. So i have been running around the house all day killing the flies. I am a super talented fly swatter! Haha!

Paintin My Nails...

So currently, my toenails are painted red :D And so, while i was uber bored, i painted my nails red too so they could match (usually i just have them clear, or if i save enough money to go to a salon, french) but yeah. So i paint them, and then decide i don't like them red. So i take the red polish off, but grrrr. Now The edges are red and my nails have a redding tint. Darn. And don't you're nails feel naked without some kind of polish on them?

Anyway. I just recently discovered the song "Stay Beautiful" by Taylor Swift. I had downloaded it like months ago, but never actually listened to it. It's very catchy. I like the chorus :D You're beautifu everylittle peice, love :D

I will start posting some blogs soon about SYTYCD. Don'tcha worry. I just need to get around to a topic. Maybe i shall post some old emails i wrote before this blog was goin' on. But yeah, i adore SYTYCD. It's brilliant.
