Top Ten SYTYCD Season Four Performance!
Wow. Already the top ten? You better believe it! Congratulations to the top ten dancers on season 4: Kherington, Twitch, Joshua, Katee, Chelsie, Mark, Will, Jessica, Gev, and Courtney. This week the couples were switched up a bit, who would be paired with who?....
At the beginning of the show I noticed Joshua did not have a partner. Who was missing? My question was soon answered as Cat called Jessica out on the stage. She was looking very pretty wearing a black and grey stripped dress and heels. She announced she won't be able to dance on the remainder of the show because Doctors had just informed her the pain in her side was from several broken ribs. They told her she shouldn't dance for 4+ weeks. So she will be taking a break so she will be rested and able to perform on the tour. Get well soon sweetie!
So, what will be happening? I immediately hoped Shauna, Lauren, Lacey...ect. would come back to dance, but no unfortunately. Comfort (the last girl to be eliminated) will be dancing in Jessica's place. Best of luck to Comfort.
The first couple was Joshua and Courtney, performing a Hip Hop Routine to the song Skippin' by Mario. It had a fun theme and i pretty much enjoyed the dance. Something was missing though, and i think that Joshua may have out danced Courtney just a little. Understanding that hip hop is Josh's style though. One part where Courtney is supposed to do an illusion, was terrible. It looked like me trying to do an illusion. I agree with what Nigel said, she did get into character though. Good job to them! Kherington picks Mark out of the famous hat and what's there first dance? None other than the Country Two-Step...Whatever that is :D I think it's good the show has been show casing new styles lately! Ok, so to the dance. It was a little slow, boring, low-energy, rough....and not too good for me. They seemed like they forgot what was supposed to come next at some points....The judges gave them to much credit for it, in my opinion! Gev's solo was next, and it was ok. I prefer that solo he did a couple weeks ago when he was in the bottom 3. It was funny, and it was unforgettable and made me remember him. It was just ok for me. Here comes the 3rd new couple: Comfort and Twitch. I'm not terribly disappointed that Comfort is back, I love her personality and all. Hopefully she doesn't let Twitch down. And they're doing what? The Smooth Waltz. Oh my goodness. This should be interesting :D Choreographed by Hunter Johnson to the song Open Arms by Journey. It was a little stiff to me. The lines weren't quite there, but I am impressed! They did a little better than i thought they would and they nailed the lift! Good for them! But it wasn't top 10 material like Nigel said. Courtney's solo came along after a commercial. It was ok, I just am not a huge fan of her solo dancing. Her illusion was better than in her hip hop dance! Thank goodness! One of her legs were still bent, but at least it was higher! Technically her dancing is good, but something is missing...I do love her costume! It was simple. Here's the link:

Katee and Will were partnered and their first dance is a Broadway routine by Mr. Tyce Diorio. It was a really fun routine! No sexuality, and just a lot of fun! It wasn't my favorite Broadway ever, but it was great! They danced it well! I love how he squirted the water out at the end! Katee was such a cutie in this dance, Will i think could have let go and had maybe a little more fun with it. I loved the choreography with the boat. It was clever. Good job to both of them! Mark's solo was very unique, like everything else he does! Uhm. But really, other than the fact that I'd never seen anyone else do anything like that, it was kinda just eh. I don't know what else to say about it. Here's the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=AoCA01topN4
Courtney picked Gev out of the hat and their first routine is: contemporary choreographed by Sonya. I loved it! So good, and they had a good connection! They danced it well, and I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. It was so free and easy going, and the song was good for it. Oh i loved it! They did great together! Joshua and Courtney's second routine was a Rumba. It was sexy and I liked it. The did very well on the lifts, but maybe it could've had just a tad more chemistry. I liked Courtney in this routine a lot, and I think she made up for her lacking in the hip hop! According to Mary it was technically good too, why didn't it make it on the hot tomale train then? Katee's solo. OH NO SHE DID-N'T! That was Alli's song. I'm sorry, but I think NO one has the right to use that song on the show after Allison's elimination! Allison did better and the connection was better. Katee should not have done that. :( Yes, her technique was there, ect. ect., but it's nothing compared to Alli. Ok. So what's next? lol. Mark and Kherington get to dance a Jazz dance by Tyce. I love Jazz! It might not be my favorite to watch, but it's my favorite to dance! So i have a lot of respect for it! I think Kherington did a little better than Mark. A lot of people on youtube feel that Mark was better though, so really this is all just a matter of opinions. Also, youtube people commented that the choreography was a but Blah. I agree to a degree about that, but it was still fairly decent. Was it top 10 material? I don't know...Maybe top 14 or 12. Comfort and Twitch did a fantastic job at their hip hop routine that they did! It was so good! Both of them did really great and neither were helping or carrying the other! It was so good, and I loved the choreography by Dave! It was long overdue for Comfort and she deserved it so much! I'm so proud of her and thinks she deserved to dance in the top 10 with that routine! Twitch was really good as usual! One of the best hip hop's of the season! Here's the link for it:

Katee and Will up next. What will they be doin'? Something probably purty darn good. And of course it was! And who are they dancing to? none other than David Archuleta! This dance was very powerful and you needed to be strong, and a lot of passion, and ballet training, and fantastic technique! It was so good! I really liked it! They danced it flawlessly! Chelsie and Gev!! This was a pretty awesome job at the jive! It had high energy for sure, and they both did really great! I don't agree with Mary and the "too much concentration" crap. Gev did really great and they both were fantastic and you could tell them were having a good time!
